Based on her book series, the ‘Outlander’ TV series follows the epic love story of Claire and Jamie Fraser who meet in 1743 Scotland
The author, Diane Gambaldonis preparing the tenth – and probably last – book in the series of novels “Outlander”. However, the American author still has many other stories to tell, including a novel about the parents of the show’s main character, Jamie Fraser.
A few years ago a fan of Gambaldon’s work asked the question, “Have you ever considered writing an Outlander prequel about Jamie’s parents? Helen’s mother looks very good.’ The author simply replied: “Yes. Is in progress”.
During an interview with “Outlander” TV series producer Maryl Davis, Dianne Gambaldon said more about the prequel: “When ideas come up I write them down. I have little snippets for all kinds of books, including the prequel about Jamie’s parents.”
