Cleo Pires recalled difficult moments of childhood and adolescence when talking about self-esteem in this Tuesday’s episode (20) of the podcast Quem Pode, Pod, by Giovanna Ewbank and Fernanda Paes Leme. The actress also commented on how she overcame this challenge and posed for the cover of Playboy magazine twice.
Fernanda Paes Leme praised Cleo’s “unusual” beauty, when the actress said she had never been able to see it: “I’ve always had a problem with self-esteem, really. I think it only worked after 30”.
Cleo said the bullying she suffered as a child could have affected her self-esteem: “I don’t know if it’s because I was bullied at a new school that I entered. It was very punk like that. It was because I am the daughter of Gloria Pires and Fábio Junior.” “It was spanking bullying,” she said.
The actress said that posing for the cover of Playboy magazine, in 2010, made this situation reverse: “it was a moment of recognition of my aesthetics, of the things I liked, which when I was younger, I was afraid to assume”. In addition to self-esteem, Cleo said that she also earned a good amount of money with the photos: “I bought a little house”.
