His new movie Christopher Nolan, “Oppenheimer”is set to hit theaters in a few weeks, and anticipation is high — especially now that the director has shared some of the reactions he’s received so far from people who have had a chance to see the film.
In the biopic on the life of J Robert Oppenheimer, “father of the atomic bomb”starring ‘Peaky Blinder’ Cillian Murphy and is set to premiere on July 21st worldwide and August 24th in Greece.
“Some people left the movie completely devastated,” Nolan said of the film’s first screenings in a new interview with Wired magazine.
“They can’t even talk. I want to say that there is the element of fear in the story as well, but also in the foundations. But the love for the characters, the love for the relationships, is stronger than anything I’ve done».
The 52-year-old director added: “It is a powerful experience, because it is a powerful story. I showed it to a director recently who said it reminded him of a horror movie. I do not disagree».
