The winners of the “Oscars” of the airline industry: The best company in the world and the favorite lounge of passengers

In the leading airline alliance in the world, this year also stood out Star Alliance as part of the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2023, known as “the Oscars of the airline industry”.

The awards were received by Star Alliance CEO Mr. Theodoros Panagiotoulias at a ceremony held at the Paris Air Show.

Also, 13 Star Alliance member airlines received 35 additional awards this year, with Singapore Airlines to be distinguished as the best airline.

Other alliance awards range from World’s Cleanest Airline and World’s Best Premium Economy Class to awards for Best Regional Airline.

The Star Alliance lounge at Tom Bradley International Airport in Los Angeles has retained its title as the world’s ‘top lounge’ for the 7th year in a row.

The lounge has the highest rating as it has a terrace with excellent views, both day and night.

The Skytrax World Airline Awards are determined by an impartial international vote of passengers. This year, 20.23 million entries were counted and the survey ran from September 2022 to March 2023, representing passengers from more than 100 nationalities. The survey was also conducted in six major international languages.
