Neymar was fined again due to the construction of an artificial lake in the mansion located in the Condomínio Aero Rural, in Mangaratiba. Secretary of Environment of the municipality, in Costa Verde of the State of Rio de Janeiro, said he went to the site this Saturday (24) to verify compliance with the embargo, issued last Thursday (22) for environmental crime. But the inspectors found movements in the prohibited area and the football player received a new fine.
The city council released a statement about the incident. “In view of this, the new evidence, attested in the finding notice No. 1,165, will be added to the process already in progress, which will generate new infractions and fines”, begins the statement, which does not specify the amount of the new fine. “The total values of the fines will only be added up and issued after their calculation in an administrative process with a technical report, supporting documents and a legal opinion, which should happen next week.”
Neymar, 31, was at the property the day before and even entered the lake, ignoring the restraining order issued by the secretary and the Civil Police, who led the action carried out on Thursday. At the time, the player’s father, Neymar da Silva Santos, had an argument with secretary Shayenne Barreto and even received a prison sentence. Friends and employees of the businessman intervened, calmed him down and talked with the authorities until he was released.
According to the Environment Secretariat team, the next step will be to issue an opinion on the irregularities found and issue a fine, which, according to estimates and given the environmental damage caused, will not be less than R$ 5 million.
