The Glastonbury Music Festival, the biggest in the UK ran from 22nd to 26th June with top names taking to its main stage, the Pyramid Stage. Artists stood out with their performances, while there were also many extraordinary performances that thrilled the audience.

One question that preoccupied the hundreds of thousands of patrons was who the mysterious band The Churnups were. The organizers of Glastonbury are known to have surprises in store for the audience and always keep a group’s appearance under wraps until the last minute. Everyone was wondering who The Churnups are, who, according to the poster, would be playing on the main stage before rock duo Royal Blood.

Fans quickly assumed it would be the Foo Fighters and the rumors were confirmed an hour before their gig when they tweeted a photo of Festival flags, the phrase Churn It Up and the hashtag #Glastonbury 2023.

The band dedicated ‘Everlong’ to their late drummer, Taylor Hawkins. “Let’s sing it loud and sing for Taylorsaid group leader David Grohl.

The BBC singled out epic performances from the likes of Blondie and WizKid, who danced to Carly Rae Jepsen and Guns N’ Roses.

“Lydia Tár” made its debut at the Festival when actress Cate Blanchett, who earned an Oscar nomination earlier this year for her role in the film of the same name, took to the stage with Sparks and danced to a live playback of the band’s video for “The Girl Is Crying in Her Latte.”

Lewis Capaldi lost his voice on stage, but the audience cheered him on and supported him. The Scottish singer, who had previously canceled concerts to rest and recover, apologized as he prepared to sing Someone You Loved on stage.

I’ll be honest with everyone, but I’m starting to lose my voice up here,” he said. “But we will continue and go to the end. I just need you all to sing along with me as loud as you can, okay?he added.

Lana Del Rey appeared on The Other Stage late resulting in a time ban before he could sing the last six songs.

Without a microphone he began to address the audience. She chatted with fans, hugged them and expressed her sorrow. It was a beautiful moment that made you feel sad because up until that point, it had been a magical concert, reports the BBC.
