Onassis Culture supports Greek cinema, unleashing the power and talent of emerging filmmakers, and embraces the process of creation, research and artistic development.
For the first time, it addressed an open call to Greek and foreign filmmakers to submit their proposals for short fiction and documentary films, live action and animation.
A total of 132 proposals were submitted, which were evaluated by the Onassis Culture team.
The five proposals selected are:
– “This bright light that emanates” by Lias Tsalta, produced by Ioanna Peteinarakis (Moving Rooster Productions).
– “Fouetté” by Dimitris Zoura, produced by Christina Tsakmakas (Honeybee Productions).
– “MJ” by Giorgos Fourtounis produced by Eleni Kossifidou (Blackbird Production),
– “New Wild” by Thanasis Troumpoukis produced by Konstantinos Vassilaros (Studio Bauhaus).
– “Animals in the Forest” by Dimitra Mitsakis, produced by Panagiotis Hydraiou (FLP Athens).
According to the evaluation team, these five proposals stood out for their special cinematic look, bold writing and team dynamics and will be funded with the amount of 10 thousand euros each.
