The concert series Music Escapades of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) continues at the Panoramic Steps with original artistic proposals, creators of the younger generation and unexpected musical meetings of the domestic alternative scene.

In the second concert for this year, on Friday July 7, at 21:00two versatile artists, Nalyssa Green and Melentiniappear in a double bill show where pop music and electronica meet Greek verse. All concerts of the Music Escapades series take place with free admission thanks to the donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

Nalyssa Green

The performer, songwriter and thereminist, who stood out with her mellow voice and the ethereal way she moves between piano, guitar, synthesizers and theremin, returns to SNFCC.

The self-taught composer and songwriter from Athens has released four personal records, two in English (“Barock”, “The Seed”) and two in Greek (“Bloom”, “Taxidi Astriko”), while she is behind the viral hit single “Cocktail” -a song with over 1 million views on YouTube- that introduced her to a wider audience, highlighting her as one of the most important representatives of Greek-speaking dream pop music.

Nalyssa Green composes original music for theatre, film and television, and occasionally participates in performances as a performer.

At the SNFCC, she will perform with her band, which includes, among others, Miss Trichromi, Logout and Kristof, three young musicians who have also distinguished themselves on the Greek music scene.

Melentini

A versatile and versatile songwriter and performer, Melentini started playing music at a very young age. Together with Richard König and Kostas Antoniou, they are founding members of the independent electronic music collective Sequence Theory Project.

He has collaborated with renowned artists, including the British Steve Jansen of the legendary Japan, Blue Square, Pavlos Pavlidis, Pan Pan, Theodore etc. She was introduced to a wider audience in 2013 through the album “Explosions around, the desert inside”, which received rave reviews and a warm response from the public.

To date, Melentini has released a series of personal albums (Explosions Αrounds, the Desert Inside, Avenue of Nightmares, ZRSHA; fundus Uterus) and a collection of songs from postmodern Greek cinema (9 songs from post modern films).

He has performed in the theater and composed original music for plays and films, among others the award-winning “Afterlove” by Stergios Paschos and “Dog” by Gianna Americanou.

In her live performances, she is accompanied by the Running Blue Orchestra, which currently consists of Vassilis Dokakis, Costas Antoniou and Christos Vigos.
