Arnold Schwarzenegger says he believes ‘The Terminator’ movie has ‘come true’ as the actor and former California governor says James Cameron’s film, in which he stars, predicted the future of rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI);

Speaking at the ‘An Evening with Arnold Schwarzenegger’ event in Los Angeles, the famous actor said he believes the current fear of Artificial Intelligence can be linked to the film’s plot.

“Today, everyone is afraid of how it will develop,” he said. “And in this movie, we’re talking about machines becoming aware of themselves and taking over.”

He added that since when the film was made in 1984, humans had “scratched the surface of Artificial Intelligence” the script was intelligent.

“Now over the decades, it’s become a reality,” added Arnold Schwarzenegger. “So it’s not fantasy or futuristic anymore. He is here today. And so this is Jim Cameron’s amazing writing,” he remarked.

Referring to James Cameron, the actor added: “He’s just a brilliant writer and he’s such an incredible director.” “He is the number one director in the world,” he added.
