Stênio Garcia is hospitalized with septicemia, generalized infection

Stênio Garcia, 91, was hospitalized on Saturday (1st), in Rio de Janeiro with a condition of septicemia, a generalized infection. The actor felt severe pain in his hip and legs, but is conscious and breathing normally.

Recently, he underwent a facial harmonization and stated to the F5 who opted for the procedure to return to the screens. Sthenius is accompanied by his wife, Mari Saade, and has already performed several tests, such as CT scans of the skull and lung to detect the cause of the incident, and is being medicated with antibiotics.

According to a note sent by the press office to the F5, the actor also has an inflammation of the sciatic nerve, which results in pain in the hip and legs. But the medical team still does not know what caused the infection and whether the condition is related to inflammation.

Mariana Avallone, the doctor who performed the procedure on the actor, says she keeps in touch with him and that the healing of the operation was good. And she says that, in recent weeks, the artist has been to the hospital frequently to treat the pain.

The professional says she spoke with Mari at 8:50 am today, and that she was concerned about her husband’s health. “I don’t know the reason for his hospitalization, but it has nothing to do with facial harmonization. He got hurt at the gym and had an exam that found an inflation in the sciatic nerve.”
