He won a new important distinction Greece and EOT in this year’sThe Travel Marketing Awards” held on July 3 in London.

EOT received the silver award in the Responsible and Sustainable Travel Marketing category for the SustainableGreece.co.uk platform, launched in London in October 2022, showcasing to the British public and the international tourism market, Greek initiatives for the sustainability of Greek destinations and sustainable tourism development.

SustainableGreece.co.uk was created with the aim of encouraging UK travelers to travel sustainably in Greece, protecting the natural beauty and strengthening local communities. In this context, it highlights Greek destinations that have undertaken significant eco-friendly and technologically “smart” initiatives, including articles detailing current efforts, but also future plans to enhance the sustainability of Greek destinations.

The information provided through the EOT platform formed the basis for the development of new enriched tourist packages to Greece and to less known – to the general public – tourist destinations for authentic, “smart” and ecological holiday experiences.

The Travel Marketing Awards are organized by the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Travel Group and are one of the most important marketing distinctions in the international tourism market.

The first prize in the same category was won by Tour Operator Intrepid, a specialist in responsible and sustainable tourism packages, for its advertising campaign on the London Underground.

The SustainableGreece.co.uk platform was part of EOT’s programmatic marketing campaign in major British national daily newspapers such as The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph.
