Showrunners had hoped to keep Cattrall’s return under wraps until the episode aired, but the “secret” was revealed long before the second season premiered
THE Cynthia Nixon revealed the one concern she had about her long-awaited return Kim Cattrall in its second cycle “And Just Like That”.
TV’s Miranda Hobbes of the iconic “Sex and the City” wondered about the public’s reaction to Samantha Jones’ appearance in the new cycle, telling Sunday Times Style: “I’m worried people will wonder what all the fuss was about. It’s important to know that it’s a very short and very small appearance.”
Initially, Cattrall had refused to star in the ‘Sex and The City’ sequel because of her of her well-known feud with Sarah Jessica Parker.
But this year she seems to have changed her mind for the sake of the series and her role as Samantha and she is doing a lot small passage in “And Just Like That” season 2.
The information was revealed by “The Post” and excited fans, who were disappointed by her absence in the first cycle.
“We were very disappointed that the secret of Kim’s upcoming appearance was leaked,” Nixon said.
“We were hoping it was something that people wouldn’t know until they saw the episode and that it would be a sudden perfect surprise.”
Cattrall herself recently revealed on “The View” that she had specific requirements for this return as she stated: “It’s very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO and say, ‘What can we do for you?’ and I thought ‘Hm. Let me be creative.”
“And one of those things that I wanted to do was to have in this circle the Patricia Field [ενδυματολόγος του Sex and The City], because I just thought if I’m going to come back I have to come back in that style, Samantha, so I had to push it. And we did.”
