Roald Dahl’s British novel is brought to cinemas for the third time – The premiere is expected on December 15
A fairytale trailer from the movie Wonka saw the light of day from Warner Bros starring him Timotee Salame (Timothée Chalamet) in the titular role of the eccentric chocolatier created by the famous author Roald Dahl (Roald Dahl).

Is third time that the story will be transferred to the big screen after the 1971 with the legendary Gene Wilder and the 2005 with Johnny Depp also directed by Paul King (Paul King) adapted from a screenplay he wrote with Simon Farnaby (Simon Farnaby).
“I think the reason I was so drawn to it was because I loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when I was a little kid,” the famed director told EW, adding. “It was one of the first books I really loved. I had a very old copy where all the pages had come out because I had read it [τόσο πολύ]».
He considers himself lucky to have Timothée Salamet star in ‘Wonka’.
“I really don’t think there are many actors who could play this role,” he said. “He’s an excellent actor in expressing such deep emotions in a film for the whole family. He is also great at singing and dancing. He has the voice of an angel. I can’t wait for people to see it and I think they will be impressed.”
The film also stars, among others, Olivia Colman, Matt Lucas, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter and Hugh Grant as a devoted Oomba Looba.
“Wonka” opens in theaters on December 15.
