Denilson on debt to Belo: ‘Committed parties, but situation is not resolved’

The debt of around R$ 7 million that the singer Belo has with the Band commentator Denilson may be close to being paid. The former player himself confirmed to the F5 that both parties are committed to reaching an agreement. “And as soon as the matter is 100% resolved, I will manifest myself. It is not yet”, he reinforces through his advisory.

When contacted, Marcelo Passos, Belo’s lawyer, did not respond to questions. But last month, he said that the process was moving towards the phase of recalculating the outstanding balance. The lawyer said he believed that the debt was around R$ 4.5 million.

“Now, let the Justice define how much we owe. When that happens we can see a new agreement. There is no deadline”, Passos said at the time. Sought, the Court of Justice of São Paulo had not yet responded on the new movements of the action.

Belo and Denilson have been at odds since the then athlete, at the time at Betis, in Spain, bought the rights to the band Soweto, and Belo, the then vocalist, asked to leave the group, being sued by the footballer for moral damages. In the action, Denilson argued that Belo left the band without paying compensation.

In June, there was an urgent request from the commentator to block any remuneration to be received by the singer Belo in the painting Dança dos Famosos, from Domingão com Huck.
