The drama series Succession of HBO, which tells the story of the ruthless competition between a powerful family for control of a giant journalistic organization, “swept” in the nominations for emmy awards, collecting a total of 27.

Opposite it the “Roy family” will find the series The Last of Us, a dystopian road-movie that describes a destroyed world, as well as the series The White Lotus, a social satire that follows the neuroses of rich customers and employees of a hotel in Sicily. Both series are HBO productions and garnered 24 and 23 nominations respectively.

In the best comedy category, the series Abbot elementary, The Bear and Wednesday are among others nominated.

The 75th Emmy Awards ceremony, the “Oscars of TV”, is scheduled for September 18 but may be postponed if Hollywood actors go on strike.
