Marlene Mattos was preferring silence in recent days because of the release of “Xuxa, the Documentary”, but this Friday (14), she decided to post a message. The post, which talked about opportunity, was considered indirect by fans of Xuxa Meneghel. The godmother and former director of Rainha dos Baixinhos spoke out amid accusations that she had a toxic and abusive relationship with the presenter.
“The opportunity is a wind. A wind that needs to be identified and taken advantage of. I always do that. The winds do not pass me by without taking advantage of them”, wrote Marlene who did not want to talk about the documentary before seeing its final version. To the F5, the businesswoman said that she will wait for the exhibition of her participation, scheduled to air on August 10th, before giving her opinion.
Xuxa and Marlene Mattos met again after 19 years on the recordings of “Xuxa, the Documentary”, at the end of last year. Excerpts of the conversation between the two were shown on Fantástico last weekend and shocked the public. At the time, the former director shouted in a firm tone: “I was right much more than I was wrong. The world is not what you want it to be”, says Marlene. “We have to act realistically. You claim to be a puppet in my hand… I used you to make puppets of other people.”
In interviews about the documentary, Xuxa also spoke about how difficult it was to find Marlene Mattos after almost twenty years without contact. “[Ela] it already arrived in a way like this: ‘if you think I’m going to apologize, I won’t’. She hasn’t changed at all. It shocked me. I change it almost daily”, commented the presenter.
