After recording “Todas as Flores”, for Globo, Caio Castro tried to take a break from his artistic career to dedicate himself to motorsport, but he couldn’t resist the invitation of a co-production between Canada and Brazil. The actor is the protagonist of “Cavaleiro das Américas”, a feature film based on the book “Long Ride Home”, which tells the journey of Filipe Masetti, a Brazilian cowboy raised abroad and, after being deported from Canada, traveled 12 countries on horseback to return to Brazil.
”I met Filipe in 2016, he was a reference for me, when I decided to do an expedition through Central America, at that time he had already told me that his story would become a film and he invited me to participate! in a note released by the press office this Tuesday (18).
Caio stated that he will reconcile his activities as a pilot at Copa Truck with filming the project. On Sunday, July 3rd, he crossed the finish line in second place in the Cascavel stage, in Paraná. The actor was second only to his teammate at ASG Motorsport, Bia Figueiredo. “Despite being 100% focused on motorsport this year, his life story goes far beyond a job for me. In some way, we are connected spiritually”, he pointed out.
The feature is a production of the Canadian Mythic Productions Inc and Farpoint Films Inc with the Brazilian Dodô Filmes. The premiere forecast is in the first half of 2024.
