Tony Bennett’s son and managerD’Andrea “Danny” Bennett, paid tribute to his late father, an inspiring artist he noted.

The jazz and pop legend died in New York last Friday at the age of 96. The cause of death has not yet been released, but Tony Bennett had been living with Alzheimer’s disease since 2016.

Among those who paid their respects with messages online are Elton John, Nile Rodgers, Ozzy Osbourne and Billy Joel.

In his statements to “People”, Danny Bennett said that Tony “painted the essence of the American dream». “He taught us all that remarkable opportunities reveal themselves and that anything is possible when you stick to your passion, believe in yourself and dedicate your life to qualityDanny Bennett continued.

He described his father as “artist, humanitarian and inspiration to anyone who experienced his elegance and grace”.

Danny Bennett was Tony Bennett’s manager from 1979 until his retirement in 2021. He is credited with helping revive the singer’s career, who was dealing with various financial issues and substance abuse in the late 70s.
