by

After being involved in an accident with no casualties in March, but causing damage to a house, comedian Pete Davidson, 29, now needs to undergo a period of retraining. He must do 50 hours of community service.

According to Page Six, Davidson must attend 12 hours of traffic school and have contact with specialists at a hospital or morgue to better understand the possible results of reckless driving.

According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Public Prosecutor’s Office, if he correctly performs his duties, he will not be criminally indicted.

On the night of March 6, Davidson was driving his Mercedes-Benz at high speed when the car jumped off the curb, hit a fire hydrant and skidded across a lawn until it hit a house. The residents did not want to file a lawsuit. He was charged with reckless driving.

In June, the comedian and actor, known for his work on the show “Saturday Night Live”, was admitted to a rehabilitation clinic due to issues related to mental health. The news was reported by the website TMZ. In 2018, the comedian claimed to have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.

Pete Davidson has always been transparent about his struggles with mental health and substance use. In an interview with Variety magazine, he shared that since childhood he has been going through mental health institutions, seeking treatment and support when needed. At the age of 7, his father died in the September 11 terrorist attacks.
