Turkish firefighters tackle a forest fire nearby in the resort of Kemer in the province of Antalya by land and air amid the heat wave hitting the region.

The provincial governor’s office said the fire spread too quickly because of the winds and drought.

Ten aircraft, 22 helicopters and more than 200 vehicles participate in the firefighting operations.
The State Hospital of Kemer was evacuated as a precaution, while six people are hospitalized with respiratory problems.
🇹🇷 In Turkish Kemer, the fires came close to the beach. Social media footage shows tourists swimming and sunbathing as helicopters put out fires offshore.
In 14 hours, the fire destroyed 120 hectares of forest.
