BBB 22: Naiara Azevedo explains meeting with Bolsonaro and recalls criticism

Naiara Azevedo decided to clarify a controversial point in her biography during a conversation with Jessilane and Natália at BBB 22 (Globo). The singer spoke about the meeting she had with President Jair Bolsonaro (currently in the PL), which was the subject of much criticism on social media.

However, she stated that the event, which was attended by other artists and was held in January 2021, was not a show of support for the politician. The singer said that she decided to participate to demand support for the cultural sector during the pandemic.

“I didn’t go to the meeting, I didn’t go to the barbecue, lunch to do anything with the governor”, he said. “I went to hear and learn about my rights. As a citizen, I have the right to know what happens and not judge anyone, because I don’t have the right to judge anyone. If you’re a citizen, you have to go after the candidate.”

The singer also said that the participation was motivated by the situation of the people who worked with her. “People who depend on me, everyone asking me for a position,” he reported. “It’s not my fault. I was [ao encontro] looking for support as a citizen and stakeholder.”

Naiara, by the way, is having a hard time in this first week of the program. The singer was one of those chosen by the Angel of the week, Rodrigo, to pay the Monster’s punishment. Because of this, she has to take turns with Eliezer in a square set up in the house’s garden, dressed as a pay phone.

This Saturday (22), she ended up crying in her room after reporting exhaustion. “I’m trying to rest and the door slams, the horn sounds, people talk,” he complained. “And I’m trying to understand this, because there are 17, 19 people living together… But it doesn’t stop bothering me, a lot.”

Before, she had already told her friend Tiago Abravanel that she has been feeling rejected by the other participants. The singer even asked to talk to the psychological care available at the house.
