“Control”, the first film of Kevin Spacey after he was acquitted of sexual assault in the UK, it is set for a Christmas release. According to Variety the film, which does not feature the actor but features his voice, will be released in both the US and UK on 15th December.

In “Control”, directed by the British Gene Falez, Spacey plays a mysterious figure who wants revenge and remotely steals the car of a British government official.

The actor filmed the role in London last December while awaiting trial for sexual and indecent assault in the UK. He was found not guilty of all charges last month.

He is naturally quiet and seems quite shy,” Falaise told Variety last month. “He seemed to be fine. I mean, I didn’t know Kevin before all of this, so I can’t say how he was compared to what he was before. But you know, he just seemed like a nice guy».

As for whether the director had reservations about casting Spacey, he said he had none. “The only people who know everything are the ones who were in that room and decided he’s not guilty,” Falaise said, adding: “I have no regrets casting Kevin and would do it again».
