Shortly after Jeff Bezos was in Ithaca with his superyacht ‘Koru’ worth $500 million, his fiancee announced a donation they will make together to burning Hawaii.
Lauren Sanchez made a post on Instagram, in which she says that they will allocate 100 million dollars together for the fires in Hawaii and specifically, Maui County.

“Jeff and I are devastated by what is happening in Maui. We are thinking of all the families who have lost so much and a community that has been left devastated. The immediate needs are important, so is the longer-term reconstruction that will have to be done,” writes Jeff Bezos’s partner, among others.
She then added that she and Bezos are “creating the ‘Maui Fund’ and setting aside $100 million to help get Maui back on its feet now and in the years to come.”
