The Police Station for Racial Crimes and Intolerance Offenses (Decradi) opened an inquiry this Tuesday afternoon (22) to investigate an alleged religious intolerance by Larissa Manoela’s mother. In a message sent to her daughter on Christmas Eve 2022, Silvana Taques used the term “macumbeira” when referring to the family of the actress’s fiance, André Luiz Frambach.
“I forgot to wish you… that you have a great Christmas there with all the guides of this macumbeira family. kkkkkk”, wrote the pedagogue in a conversation with Larissa via WhatsApp. Frambach and her relatives are Kardecist spiritists and the term “macumbeiro” is considered pejorative when referring to religions of African origin. The information was confirmed by the Rio Civil Police.
The complaint was made by the Commission to Combat Religious Intolerance of the State of Rio de Janeiro in conjunction with the Center for Coordination of Marginalized Populations (CEAP). “The configuration of this discriminatory act presents itself as contemporary forms of racism, which aims to preserve the integrity of personality rights, as the essential dignity of the human person”, says an excerpt from the document, signed by lawyers Carlos Nicodemos and Maria Fernanda Fernandes.
after accusing parents of abuse in the management of her career and her assets, Larissa broke with her relatives and decided to give up her assets, valued at R$ 18 million. Silvana and Gilberto kept everything and offered a mansion in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio, for sale, valued at R$10 million. The actress was informed by F5 about trading.
Silvana Taques was contacted by F5, but did not respond until the close of the report. The lawyer representing her and her husband Gilberto Elias also did not return on the subject.
