The famous actors Adam Driver (Adam Driver), Caleb Landry Jones (Caleb Landry Jones), Mads Mikkelsen (Mads Mikkelsen) and Jessica Chastain (Jessica Chastain) will travel to Italy for the 80th Venice Film Festival which will take place this year in the midst of the American screenwriters and actors strike.

According to the festival, Driver is expected to appear on the Lido red carpet to promote Michael Mann’s long-awaited film Ferrari, in which he plays the legendary Enzo Ferrari. Landry Jones for the movie “Dogman” by Luc Besson (Luc Besson), Mikkelsen for “The Promised Land” by the Dane Nikolaj Arcel (Nikolaj Arcel) and Chastain for her role in “Memory” by the Mexican director Michel Franco (Michel Franco).

Also expected are the stars of Sophia Coppola’s Priscilla, Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi, as well as Priscilla Presley herself.

As Variety reports, these films have been granted temporary licenses by SAG-AFTRA, as they are independent productions and not created by AMPTP members.

Also, African-American creator Ava DuVernay, who makes her debut in the competition section with “Origin”, will be honored at an event by AmfAR, the American Foundation for AIDS Research, in the presence of Rita Ora and Leona Lewis ( Leona Lewis).

It is noted that the famous festival will be held from August 30 to September 9.
