John Snyder talks about his wife, Alicia Allain in his first interview since her death last February from breast cancer at the age of 53. “We lived here… We chased our dreams and caught them here. “I miss every damn thing, every day,” she says. “I’ve gotten to the point where I look around to see where it is, not where it isn’t. And I’m trying to do that, but it’s hard. Somehow I love her more every minute, but with that, I somehow miss her more every minute».

Snyder’s love story with Alicia, producer and owner of Maven Entertainment, began on October 6, 2014while the two had met for lunch to discuss a film project.

For the next eight years, the couple split their time between their homes in Louisiana and Nashville and did almost everything together, from producing films and writing music to racing cars and enjoying time in the outdoors.

“We were kindred spirits from the start and made everything look easy“, says.

Life as they knew it was turned upside down in May 2019 when Alicia was diagnosed with breast cancer. While Alicia was undergoing treatment, the two decided to get married. “We decided to get married after her diagnosis, not before, which I think says a lot,” she adds.
