Actor Cauã Reymond already fell ill during a recording of a sex scene between his character, Caio, and Aline, played by Barbara Reis in “Terra e Paixão” (Globo). According to the actor, sinusitis attacked him right at the time of recording.
“I had sinusitis, taking antibiotics and corticoids. The soap opera has been very intense for me. There was a period when I took antibiotics twice in an interval of 11 days”, he said in an interview with Extra.
“In that first scene, I was dying of cold, I wanted it to end soon. I knew it was an important scene, but I was dying not to get sinusitis again”, he added.
The hot scenes between Caio and Aline increase the telenovela’s audience, but the public doesn’t know that the sexual tension (the so-called chemistry) during the recordings is not that great. Of course, there is the professionalism of the actors, but Barbara Reis says that the scenes are simpler and less impactful.
“Everything is done with many cuts. There is nothing sexy or serious. Incredible as it may seem, they are very funny scenes”, she said, in an interview with F5.
“I try to demystify this created aura of a star, an idol, of distancing from actors like Cauã and Tony Ramos, you know? If not, it would be impossible to work”, he concluded.
