Jean Paulo Campos, 20, was at the first night of The Town festival, in São Paulo, where he was eager to check out the shows by Racionais MCs and Post Malone. The actor was accompanied by friends, this Saturday night (2), in the cabin in Interlagos. “I’m single, man, the rush is very big, it’s hard”, says the actor, who is still celebrating the success of “Vai na Fé” (Globo) and says he is negotiating his next roles.

“I have some projects in mind, but I’m taking advantage of this period when I’m more relaxed to enjoy the things I’ve been wanting to enjoy, like doing some things related to fashion”, he says.

During the soap opera, he was quite successful as the shy Yuri, who was bisexual. “It was an experience I’m orphaned from,” he says. “I’m very sad that it’s over, but I’m also happy because I’ve learned a lot from him and I’m reaping good results.”

He says that even many people stopped calling him by the name of his best-known character so far, Cirilo from the soap opera “Carrossel”. “Now it’s well divided, Jean, Yuri and Cirilo”, he says. Speaking of SBT’s children’s soap opera, the actor also commented on the public fight between his former co-star, Larissa Manoela, and his parents.

“Gee, I wanted to be much closer to her than I was these days because of the soap opera”, he laments. “I was recording a lot, I couldn’t be close to almost any of my friends 100%, but I know that Larissa is an ultra-talented, ultra-hard-working girl, and I’m sure she’s going to reap double, triple, quadruple what reaped until today.”

The actor, who also started his career very early, also says that child actors have to rely on their parents in managing finances, and that often this continues when they grow up. “All of us who started out as child actors have this relationship with our parents, it’s really common for them to take care of our money because we don’t have any condition to do that at eight, seven years old.”

“After coming of age, I ended up having a better idea of the jobs I ended up doing, but it really is very difficult”, he says. “I think that for all artists, of any age, putting this art and business thing together is very difficult because they are things that end up limiting our creativity and affecting our mental state.”
