Tens of thousands of citizens took to the streets once again on Saturday to demonstrate against Israel’s government, the most right-wing in the country’s history, in Tel Aviv and other cities.

Organizers of the mobilization announced earlier yesterday that they would coordinate with security forces, following clashes between rival groups of Eritrean migrants and the police earlier yesterday, with around a hundred injured and dozens arrested.

Mass protests against government policies in Israel have continued since she took office at the beginning of the year.

In late July, as part of a controversial reform of the justice system, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government passed a law limiting the powers of the Supreme Court.

Critics of the government characterize its actions as a threat to democracy in the country.

On September 12, the Supreme Court is expected to hear appeals against the disputed law.
