Surfer Flávio Nakagima, aka Naka, who participated in the reality De Férias com o Ex: Celebs (MTV), used social networks to support his friend, three-time world surfing champion Gabriel Medina, 28, after the end of his marriage with model Yasmin Brunet, 33.
Naka shared photos with Medina on Instagram and wrote that he hasn’t spoken to his friend in almost two years. “We spend a good part of our lives together as brothers, living together, enjoying, traveling, training, going through troubles, so many stories.”
Naka said he was always a fan of Medina and learned a lot from him. “I respected your moment and always rooted for you to be happy, we learn every day in our lives, and I knew you needed to go through it, to learn, to come out stronger and mature.”
The surfer revealed that he dreamed of Medina saying he would be a father and choosing him to be his son’s godfather. “I felt willing to write to you, because I know it’s a moment you need, regardless of what has happened, I’ll always be willing to listen to you and help you, for everything you’ve given me.”
Naka said that he always carries with him the word “gratitude and hopes that Medina also has it for the people who like him. “In life everything is fleeting, dating, couples, women, but real friends are for life! Count on me for whatever you need, everything passes, and I’m sure you’ll overcome another one of those little problems that we ran over, go ahead!”
Medina has decided not to travel to Hawaii, where the first two legs of the 2022 WSL (World Surf League) season will take place from January 29th. In a note sent by his press office this Monday (24), Medina said that the decision aims to preserve his physical and mental health and was one of the most difficult he has ever taken.
