Nora and Helmer’s seemingly perfect marriage crumbles when the revelation of a lie will remove all certainty, reveal the complete lack of communication between them, and reveal the true dimensions of their relationship, leading to the end of their innocence. Nora becomes painfully aware that good and loving motives are not enough to find understanding neither from the Law, nor from her husband. Criminally hellish acts, brutal extortions, fears, agonies, suicidal thoughts, alternate with love, hope, flirtation, joy, the ideals of the exemplary family, social advancement and financial prosperity – all this until the final showdown with the Truth, which will sweep everything without pity for either of the two protagonists. It is this Truth that will lead Nora to the urgent formulation of Hamlet’s quest for the Ego. It is this Truth that finds it difficult to transmit and touch the Other – even more so today, in the age of extreme interconnectedness…
