“There is nothing I can do or say to make things any easier. I take full responsibility for my actions, there is nothing I can do that will make this ok with those who don’t agree with it. There are many reasons why this is complex.” , it started.

Many actors and actresses publicly criticized the actress for returning to The Drew Barrymore Show, which has screenwriters behind the scenes linked to the category’s union, which is on strike. This could result in workers breaking the strike or the participation of non-unionists.

“There’s a big question of why I’m doing this. This is bigger than me, there’s other people’s work on the line. I wanted a show that would distract people from everything else that’s going on in the world during difficult times.”

The talk show is known for its frank conversations with actors who, at the moment, are prevented from publicizing the productions in which they participate.

After the announcement, the writers’ union made a post on X (formerly Twitter) asking the presenter to reconsider the launch, scheduled for September 18th. “It’s a strike-stricken show that is planning to return without its writers.
