The São Paulo Civil Police registered the death of Rafael Puglisi as “suspicious”. The 35-year-old dentist died on Monday morning (18), in Barueri. According to the death certificate posted on his official profile, the cause was determined to be traumatic brain injury.
The information was confirmed to the F5 by the state Department of Public Security. New exams and expertise were requested in the case. According to police chief Ednelson de Jesus, traces of blood were found on the balcony of a room on the first floor and close to the body, on the edge of the pool.
According to his family, he went swimming every day and hit his head on the bottom of the pool when he dived. A medical team tried to revive him, but he arrived at the hospital lifeless.
Rafael, known as the “dentist of the famous”, treated names such as Juliette, Neymar and Jade Picon and had a degree in dentistry from Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (FMU), in São Paulo. He was the fourth generation of his family dedicated to the profession, according to the official website of the company he worked for.
The dentist held the position of clinical director at the Instituto Odontológico Guy Puglisi (IGP), a luxury clinic specializing in oral care in the capital of São Paulo.
