Khloe Kardashian spoke about her experience with skin cancer on social media. The popular TV personality, with a series of her stories on her personal Instagram account, stated how she felt when she removed a melanoma from her cheek last year.

“For those who don’t know, I had a big scare with skin cancer on my face,” wrote the entrepreneur, posting photos of all phases of the process.

Before and after tumor removal

“We had to have a tumor removed from my cheek, I was left with a scar,” she wrote. “I’m certainly not complaining, because I’d rather have a scar than a melanoma.”

Khloe Kardashian posted photos showing her cheek before and after surgery, including close-ups of the post-op stitches. In other photos, she showed off the large dent in her face from the removal, which she revealed is now being filled with injections.

“I waited over nine months to fill it,” she wrote. “Patience is everything and of course we have to make sure that medically everything is safe”, while adding that now she will always have to fill her cheek. “I look crazy in these pictures, but I’m just happy my face is slowly coming back,” she wrote, along with selfies showing the results.

The “thank you” to her doctor

The businesswoman then thanked Beverly Hills surgeon Garth Fisher for carefully removing the lump, which she thought was a “pimple for almost a year.” “Not only did she remove the tumor and make sure I’m completely cancer free, but she did such an amazing job of making my scar as small and beautiful as possible,” Khloe Kardashian wrote.

What did she ask her fans for?

Finally, Khloe Kardashian urged her followers to get screened for skin cancer as often as they can.
