In times of low fertility rates in the country — according to IBGE, Brazil is becoming the country of only children, with 1.7 children per woman — there are a bunch of famous people who proudly go against this trend. From different generations, Fabio Junior, 69 years old and the singer Latino, 50, are some of them. Latino, for example, has ten children, aged between ten and 26 years old.
In the 1970s, the rate was 5.7 children, and it was at this time that some of the heirs of famous people who are now in their 40s were born — such as the family of Silvio Santos, 92; by Gilberto Gil, 81; and Baby do Brasil and Pepeu Gomes. In other words, it wasn’t as “unusual” to have a large family, as it is nowadays.
Among the youngest section of the country, in addition to Latinos, the case of Juliano Cazarré, 42, draws attention. Father of five, the artist announced on social media that his wife, Letícia, is expecting one more. “As we always say: life wants to live! There’s another bun in the oven”, joked the couple on Instagram. And there’s no shortage of bread rolls in the home of countryman Leonardo (six children), as well as international stars, such as American actor Alec Baldwin, 65, who was unfazed by the accidental shooting on the set of “Rust” and “ordered” more one son, his seventh with his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, 38.
