Prince Harry needs to make an appointment to visit his father, says newspaper

The relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles III remains tense. The monarch’s youngest son with Princess Diana was told two weeks ago that he can now only visit his family by appointment. The determination surprised actress Meghan Markle’s husband, according to the British newspaper The Telegraph.

Harry was in London earlier this month for engagements relating to the first anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). According to the report, the prince intended to stay at Windsor Castle to visit St. George’s Chapel, where his grandmother is buried. However, he was told there were no rooms available.

Buckingham Palace advisors took the opportunity to inform him that he would need to “make an appointment” if he intended to meet the king. Surprised by the new order, Harry then ended up choosing to stay in a hotel in the capital London.

Prince Harry’s advisors and Buckingham Castle representatives were contacted by The Telegraph, but did not respond to requests.

In August, three years after Harry and Meghan stepped away from their royal duties and moved to California, United States, with their children, the royal family removed the prince’s title from the official website. He and his wife remain the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but no longer use the titles “HRH” (an abbreviation of the term His Royal Highness, in Portuguese).
