Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder star in A24 and Showtime’s promising new series, titled “The Curse”.
In the first teaser released, the Oscar-winning actress and the show’s creator play married business couple Whitney and Asher, who in their quest to have a child are faced with a curse that will “disrupt their relationship.”
At the same time, they are undertaking a new project for the residents of Española, to convert their houses into ecological residences. This is also the subject of the titled reality TV show “Flipanthropy” which they present on the HGTV network. Headed by an ambitious producer Dougie, played by Benny Safdie, with many hidden secrets.
The script of the 10 episodes is signed by Benny Safdi and Nathan Fielder, who also directs them. Starring, among others, Samantha Ashley, Gigi Ernetta, Barkhad Abdi, Corbin Bernsen and Constance Shulman.
The first three episodes will premiere at the New York Film Festival on October 12. The series is expected on Paramount+ on November 10, while two days later it will also be shown on Showtime.
