The temporary “lockout” at OAKA, after the static problem detected in the Calatrava canopy, created many questions about what will be done with the big concerts of the coming summer
The indefinite suspension of the OAKA, due to a static deficiency in the Calatrava canopies, makes it uncertain whether the two sold-out scheduled concerts of Coldplay will take place and not only that. The company announcement High Priority Promotions for their concerts Coldplay scheduled for June 8 and 9, 2024:
“Dear Coldplay fans,
As we understand your concern, we would like to inform you that our company has an active lease agreement with the management company of OAKA. This contract has neither been terminated, nor has any of the contracting parties withdrawn.
We too were informed by the media about the developments regarding the static adequacy of OAKA.
We are waiting for official information from the lessor company if the contract between us will be executed normally, which depends on the duration of the works that will have to be implemented to make the space safe.
As soon as we receive relevant information, we will proceed in turn with announcements.
Until then, we ask for your patience and understanding, as we all wish the same thing…to see the top band of its time in the most spectacular concert ever held in Greece!
Thank you!”.
