Ed Sheeran lamented in a recent interview that he’s still “waiting” to meet his hero, Bob Dylan.

The famous singer-songwriter, who last week released his new album ‘Autumn Variations’ explained that Dylan is the last of his idols that he has not met.

“I’ve met all of them, except Dylan … but if you meet Bob Dylan prematurely … I don’t want to imagine,” Sheeran said.

“My rule is always that I will never seek to meet someone, I will wait for them to meet me,” he said.

The musician also recalled meeting Eminem, saying: “I wanted him to say, ‘I like your songs’.”

“I waited and after four years he told me: ‘We have to do a song’ and we became friends” he added.

Ed Sheeran in an earlier interview with WatchMojo compared Dylan to Eminem.

“You could say they’re two completely different artists, but all you have to do with Eminem is put a guitar behind his words and it’s very similar,” he argued.
