30 years have passed since Mr Kelsey Grammer played for the first time him Frasier Crane, but returning to the iconic role was an experience he relished. The Emmy-winning actor, who will reprise the beloved psychiatrist for the upcoming Paramount+ series, which premieres Oct. 12, makes a habit of speaking to the studio audience before taping each episode about his character and what the show’s revival means for him.

In an exclusive excerpt published by the US magazine People, Grammer appears in front of the audience, which greets him with cheers and applause. He smiles while holding a microphone and thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

“I am glad you are here. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that you’re here and how grateful we are to have the opportunity to do this again for you,” Grammer says. “I’m really excited about what we’re doing, this new group of people that you can fall in love with and get to know. We’ve worked so hard on it and it’s been a while, and I think we’ve created something really beautiful.”

Paramount+’s revival of Frasier comes nearly 30 years after the original sitcom debuted in 1993, which was a spinoff of the popular sitcom Cheers.
