Nikolic: “Difficult night, I take my share of responsibility for some choices”

After the end of the match, the coach of the “yellow and black”, Marko Nikolicspoke to the Cosmote TV camera about the mistakes made in the second half, about the responsibilities he takes for some choices he made tonight, but also about the mentality of his team after PAOK’s first goal.

“Tough night, a bad defeat. It was a strange match because in the first half our performance was not such as to justify this score. We had chances, goals and we showed that we could win. Then we conceded a goal in the last minute of the half and it looked like we couldn’t recover from that.

In the second half we made a lot of mistakes, we conceded a goal after a childish mistake. We have to keep our heads up and keep going. Our performance was not good, we made mistakes and I take my share of responsibility for some choices. We will not sit and cry about the absences or the players who were absent with the national team. We have a difficult schedule, with a game in the Conference League, then against Olympiakos and we are recovering for the rest. We are at -1 from the top and we have to gather our strength for the difficult continuation”.
