Actress Gabriela Duarte, 49, had to take shelter with her children Manuela, 17, and Frederico, 11, in a bunker to protect herself after the series of attacks launched by Hamas terrorists on Israel last Saturday (7).
In a post on her social media, she detailed the fear she felt during the conflicts in the country until the moment she managed to leave the place towards Prague, in the Czech Republic.
“These are records of the first day in Tel Aviv. Before the conflicts started, we walked through the streets, went to the beach to see the sunset, everything was perfect. No one could ever imagine what would come next. The next day, at 6:00:00: 30, the alarm sounded. I looked out the window and saw smoke in the distance. We started to understand everything. From then on, it was a whole day of alarms and descents into the bunker”, he began.
The next day, she says in the report, she managed to catch a plane to Prague, where she is safe. “We are still trying to understand and digest all of this. Being so close to a conflict like this is extremely complicated. I ask God for those who are there and to protect Israel and all the victims of this absurd war”, added the actress.
Gabriela’s mother, also actress Regina Duarte, 76, did not publish any public message about her daughter’s saga of leaving Israel in the middle of a war.
More generally, last Sunday (8), he simply wished a supportive hug “to the Israelis, Brazilians who live and those who visit Israel at this painful time.”
Terrorists from Hamas, the group that controls the Gaza Strip, launched an unprecedented offensive against Israel on Saturday that left more than 900 people dead – most of the victims were civilians. In response, Israeli forces have carried out daily bombings of targets in Gaza, in attacks that have killed at least 687 people. The number, according to Palestinian officials, also includes civilians.
The total number of deaths in the conflict remains uncertain. According to the Israeli newspaper Times of Israel, four more armed Palestinian men were killed this Tuesday (10) in the Zikim region, close to the border with Gaza.
