The 9th Special Criminal Court of Rio de Janeiro accepted the complaint from the Public Prosecutor’s Office and opened proceedings against presenter Bruno de Luca for failing to help actor Kayky Brito after he was run over, which occurred on September 2nd.
O F5 had access to the indictment document. Now, the Court must call witnesses and subpoena Bruno de Luca’s defense so that he can defend himself and prove that he did not know that it was Kayky who had been run over, as he claimed in interviews and statements.
In its investigation, the Rio Civil Police had not indicted Bruno de Luca. In the images of the accident, Luca appears drunk with Kayky, but leaves without helping him even though he witnessed the accident.
“De Luca was the only one who would have left the scene immediately after the collision, without taking any action to provide assistance, nor even knowing that any assistance or request had been made”, states the text from the Public Ministry.
“The logical and obvious conclusion is that the aforementioned Mr. Bruno did not even care to have any knowledge regarding the measures that would have been adopted to provide assistance to that victim, and cannot exempt himself from responsibility for the crime provided for in article 135 of the Penal Code” , concludes the MP’s opinion.
Because of this, Kayky Brito does not want to meet De Luca again. Bruno de Luca made himself available to visit his friend, but the actor says he is sad about the repercussions of everything.
