Galvão Bueno is irritated by the Brazilian team’s performance: ‘I’ve never seen such a bad team’

Former Globo narrator, Galvão Bueno used social media to heavily criticize the Brazilian team’s performance in recent games, especially the “horrible” performance against Uruguay in the qualifiers. The team was defeated 2-0.

“I’m very sad. Before talking about the team, the game, this horrible thing that is the Brazilian team today, this horrible football, I want to regret Neymar’s injury”, he began.

“I’ve been following the Brazilian national team for 50 years. And I’ve never seen a team as bad as this one. We don’t have a team in the Brazilian national team, we have a bunch of players, some with a name, some with less of a name, with more or less experience, but a bit lost within a scheme that they have not yet assimilated”, he added.

According to Bueno, the team does not live up to the history of the Brazilian team. “Are you going to qualify for the World Cup? Yes! Six qualify directly. But you can’t. It’s very sad to see the Brazilian team playing the way they are playing,” he concluded.

This is not the first time that Bueno has given harsher opinions regarding what he sees on the field. He also often criticizes Flamengo, his favorite team.

In August, the announcer spoke out against Argentine coach Jorge Sampaoli, who was still coaching the team and had been eliminated from the Libertadores.

“I’ve been saying it since the day he arrived. Sampaoli is a loser. Flamengo wasn’t born for a positional scheme, and with 30 different lineups in 30 games! Sampaoli, for you, delivered”, he published.
