Angelo Bruschini was also involved in Massive Attack’s most commercially successful album, the “Mezzanine”. Since then, he has become their permanent lead guitarist, both in the studio and on tour.

In July 2023, he publicly announced that he was battling lung cancer. “Twice so far I’ve been told “Good luck” by lung cancer specialists at the hospital. I think I’m broken. I’ve had a great life, I’ve seen the world many times, I’ve met many wonderful people, but the door is closing, I’m thinking of writing a book“, he had written on Facebook.
