Stephen King faced criticism for praising one of the books by J. K. Rowling. The author praised it “The Running Grave” written by J. K. Rowling aka Robert Galbraith.

“It’s J.K. Rowling at her best, it evokes the sheer authorial skill of the Harry Potter books, but in a much darker version.” Stephen King wrote in a post on X. “It got me through a difficult time“, he added.

Despite King taking to Twitter to express his opposition to Rowling’s controversial comments about transgender people in the past, specifically in 2021, a number of his fans expressed their disappointment at his decision to promote her work.

“I’m glad you enjoyed the book, but I hope you’ll reconsider promoting an author who does harm to marginalized communities in the future”, commented an X user.

“It’s not right to see you supporting heranother user said.

But others made more positive comments. “It’s such a brilliant book,” noted in comment. “I’ve enjoyed all the books in the Cormoran Strike series, but The Running Grave, especially the chapters where Robin was in the cult, was so, so good”, says another comment.
