We all have to graduate at some point and it looks like that time is coming for the Las Encinas heroes. The chaotic and wild Netflix series, “Élite”, returns (perhaps) for one last “walk” through the school corridors.

With some familiar faces returning to seal their fates and others hiding some major secrets, there’s no telling what’s in store for the students, alumni and faculty at Spain’s most elite school.

Here are spoilers from season 7 which premiered on Netflix last Friday

Will season 8 really be the last season of Élite?

Unfortunately yes. Netflix announced the big news just days before Season 7 premiered with a special teaser trailer. But that doesn’t mean it will be the end. Considering the fact that the 8 is turning into an infinity symbol, it could mean that the creators may have something else up their sleeve. Besides, we wouldn’t mind seeing this “elite universe” continue forever.

The characters (and returns) in Season 8 of Élite

Mina El Hammani will make her big return to the series as fan favorite Nadia Shanaa, who will no doubt help her brother as he continues to deal with Samu’s death. Also, two new faces join the crew: Ane Rot as Emilia and Nuno Gallego as Héctor.

The plot

Season 7 ended with Raùl’s big death which everyone thought was a suicide. However, it was later confirmed that Carmen pushed him off the balcony after he tried to choke her. Chloe works with Carmen to come up with an alibi to protect each other, but Dalmar actually captures the whole moment on camera. Will their secret be safe? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Release date

No official release date has been announced yet, but Netflix usually likes to release the show on a yearly basis, so it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing new episodes in 2024.
