After 20 years the Grammy-winning artist, Boy Georgereturns to Broadway for the famous musical ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical” on the stage of the “Al Hirschfeld” theater.

He is expected to portray nightclub owner Harold Zindler starting Tuesday, February 6, 2024 for a limited number of performances.

The British pop star, who rose to fame in the 1980s with Culture Club, made his Broadway debut in 2003 as Lee Bowery in the musical Taboo, writing the composition and lyrics.

Alex Timbers directs the show, which is based on Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film of the same name. The 10-Tony Award-winning show tells the story of the unexpected romance of writer Christian and the brilliant lead singer Satin, set to the tunes of more than 40 famous songs such as “Lady Marmalade”, “Every Breath You Take”, “Children of the Revolution”, “Single Ladies” and many others.

According to “Deadline,” the star will play Harold Zindler on the “Al Hirschfeld” stage through Sunday, May 12, 2024.
