Celso Portiolli said goodbye to Luana Andrade this Wednesday (8) during the wake of the stage assistant for the program Domingo Legal, in Taboão da Serra, metropolitan region of São Paulo. The presenter remembered the last meeting he had with the model and businesswoman backstage at SBT. “She was very happy, it’s difficult for us to receive the news. It shocked me and the whole team. It’s a loss that hurt us a lot.”
Luana, who died this Tuesday morning (7), during liposuction surgery, had been an assistant on the program since April and the two met backstage at the show. “Sunday on the program. In fact, she did her first merchandise campaign. It was the last moment, but you never imagine…” he said.
The presenter also told how he received the news of Luana’s death. “When they told me the news, I was very surprised, because a movie plays in your head, right? I said: ‘My God, but from what? And I was surprised. I was very shocked,” he stated.
Finally, Portiolli lamented: “An unexpected loss of such a young girl, Luana, a wonderful work companion. A Christian girl, dreamer, family, who was living a very special moment. 2023 was a special year for her. It’s It’s difficult for us to receive news like this”, he concludes.
Luana had complications during liposuction surgery. In a statement, Hospital São Luiz, where she was admitted, reported that the patient had an abrupt respiratory event and had a cardiac arrest. The influencer was revived by the team, but the condition progressed unfavorably and she died around 5:30 am. The cause of death was massive pulmonary embolism.
