After announcing that she intended to sell the coconut water cart in order to help raise money for a theater project, Narjara Turetta decided to open a virtual crowdfunding. The campaign was launched on September 30th and the actress managed to raise less than R$1,500 by Friday morning (10).

In a recent conversation with F5, Narjara said that he was putting together an autobiographical monologue with the help of a screenwriter friend. She also said that the idea came from her friend Gloria Pires. “I completed a 52-year career with ups and downs and the public has the right to know details of my career.”

In the virtual description of the project, Narjara says that every amount would help and asks for the collaboration of friends and fans. “Campaign without financial goal. Every amount helps! I intend to take to the stage a monologue telling my life, my trajectory, my more than 50 years on TV and on stage”, she announced in the publication.

Narjara was best known for the role of Elisa, in the soap opera “Malu Woman” (1979). She began her career at the age of four, on TV Record. At the age of nine, she participated in the soap opera “Papai Coração” (1976), on the now defunct TV Tupi. She participated in soap operas on Globo such as “Baila Comigo” (1981), “Selva de Pedra” (1986), “O Salvador da Pátria” (1989), among others.

In the 2000s, Narjara started selling coconut water in Copacabana, south of Rio, alongside her mother due to a lack of invitations. She has been working as a voice actor for four years. “I was called once and others were painted. Of course I would like to return to acting, but I’m not called. That’s fine. The important thing is to work and that’s what I’ve been doing,” she said.
